This funny-looking guy is a Japanese least weasel, or Ezo okojo (sometimes also called a Japanese stoat, or short-tailed weasel, and also known in Japanese as an iizuna ). These critters are quite special because they normally have brown fur, but it changes to white during the winter.
They have a number of English-speaking guides, and are located just an hour and a half Shinkansen from Tokyo. 2. Snow Monkey/ Japanese Macaque （サル "Saru"）. A lot of people have heard of or seen Japan’s “snow monkeys”, thanks to their now well dated debut with David Attenborough on BBC.

2016年8月19日 · Animals and insects are no strangers to the work of Japanese painter Takumi Kama, who recreates them in acrylics with astonishing accuracy and realism. For a recent exhibition at BAMI gallery in Kyoto, Kama came up with two different, imaginary leaf insects that camouflage themselves in the city.
2019年8月21日 · 「枯山水」是日本庭園設計上的一種樣式，過去是在沒有池子也無法渠水的地方，以石組表現自然景觀；現代則多以砂石表現水，或是在砂石上畫上紋路表現出水的流動。 按照字面上的解釋便是指抽象的「乾枯的山水」造景。 至於為什麼會有枯山水這樣的表現呢？ 由於至今仍無法具體考證當時留下的枯山水，僅能以受到禪宗以及盆景與山水畫的影響作結。 據說日本最一開始的枯山水由中國的禪宗傳入日本，由京都西芳寺的僧侶 夢窓疎石 所創作的枯山水庭園，在日本庭園史上有著重要的意義。 為了將原為淨土式的西芳寺改成帶有禪宗式院形式，藉由將石頭當作與大自然的對峙，去感受聽不見也看不見的事物，將庭園以枯山水的表現進行修改後成為禪修場所。 另一個說法是受盆景影響加上僧侶對山水畫的興趣而形成的藝術。
2016年3月24日 · 北海道的二十间道路樱花道是全日本最长的樱花道，总长大约7公里，大约种植了3000棵樱花树。 樱花道路宽大约36米，按照古代的计量单位，36米大约折合20间，所以这里就有了二十间道路樱花道的称呼。 这条道路是修建于1916年，相传，当时修建此路是为了供视察牧场的皇族使用。
