Hi- I will need to take the following train from Odawara station to Mishima station: Train to from Odawara to Mishima departs 8:22pm-- arrives at Atami station and will need to transfer to JR East Tokaido train Line (for Ito) to get to Mishima.

The art museum was quite good.The ACAO « Forest » Garden had magnificent views of the coast on a February day with perfect weather. But, I wouldn’t go a second time. I’ve been to Hakone a few times.

While rainy days can never be ruled out in Japan, the odds are much lower in winter. refer to weather in Fuji Kawaguchi-ko in Dec 2023 when non-sunny days are roughly 10% from 20th Dec.

The summer rains are starting later than they used to and there seems to be no set pattern to them. But, the general rule is the days are hot and sunny with clouds building toward the evening.
