India’s Sensex slid 0.2% whilst Japan’s Nikkei 225 edged up 0.1% amid caution ahead of Q1 GDP data. Hong Kong and Korean markets were closed for holidays.

So, USD-RMB could face upward risk if US tariffs become much wider in scope.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 1.6% after return from a holiday, as China’s Shanghai Composite edged 0.1% higher. Elsewhere, India’s Sensex rose 0.9%.
