2024年5月6日 · 據報，一名身在美國加州蒙特雷公園市（Monterey Park）的華人因為在一年前在 Costco 消費時向一名「陌生人」借出會員卡結帳，最終面臨三項分別是詐欺、竊盜、仿冒的指控。 在澳洲，如果借出會員身份，又是否承擔一樣的法律的風險呢？ 新州律師陶建文與大家作出分析。 陶律師向第三者借出會員證或身份，除了可導致私隱外洩，亦可能在民事或刑事方面，都面臨風險。 他指出：「向任何人提供，製作或者使用任何他人個人資料，姓名，地址， 駕駛執照，護照， 生物特徵， 語音特徵， 信用卡， 財務戶口， 電子簽名，和任何可以用作為個人識別用途的數字或字母，意圖幹犯或協助干犯任何可被公訴罪行 （indictable offences），即違反新州刑事罪行條例，第4AB部份，最高可被監禁10年。
