2021年7月20日 · 衞生署今日回應傳媒查詢時表示，根據醫院管理局資料，三宗個案涉及一名12歲和兩名15歲少年，他們接種第二劑復必泰疫苗約兩日後出現胸痛，入住公立醫院接受監察和治療，情況穩定。 這些個案會交由新冠疫苗臨床事件評估專家委員會評估因果關係。 專家委員會留意到，有海外藥物監管機構報告涉及接種復必泰疫苗後的心肌炎和心包炎個案，患者包括年輕人。 為加強監察，專家委員會本月5日通過加入心肌炎和心包炎至接種新冠疫苗嚴重或非預期異常事件列表。 衞生署也一直密切監察12至15歲青少年涉及有關病症的異常事件。 根據疫苗生產商資料，心肌炎和心包炎主要在接種後14日內出現，較常在接種第二劑疫苗後發生，患者常為年輕男子。 基於這些個案，復必泰的供應商已更新疫苗說明書，列明心肌炎和心包炎為不良反應。
