Licence expiry and renewal. 牌照有效期屆滿及續期. 牌照有效期屆滿或失效. 牌照上載有牌照屆滿日期，牌照會在該日期後失效，而該屆滿日期亦可在 登記冊 及 牌照目錄 上查閱得到。 另外，牌照除在指明的屆滿日期後失效外，如牌照被 暫時吊銷或撤銷 ，牌照亦會在被暫時吊銷期間或撤銷當天失效。 無牌從事地產代理工作屬刑事罪行，違例者最高可被判監禁2年及罰款 $500,000。 牌照續期申請. 持牌人不得早於牌照屆滿日期起計3個月前及不得遲於牌照屆滿日期起計1個月前提出續牌申請。 例如：牌照有效期於12月31日屆滿，持牌人須於同年10月1日至11月30日 (兩天均包括在內) 提出續牌申請。 監管局會拒絕於牌照屆滿日期起計3個月前提出的續牌申請。
