5 天前 · The best I can work out is that we need to buy a 1 day snow monkey park pass from the Nagano Dentetsu ticket window outside Nagano Station (Zenko-ji Exit), and then head to the bus stop for the Nagaden Snow Monkey/Shiga Kogen Express Bus which is bus stop 23 outside Nagano Station east exit.
6 天前 · 2,083 posts. 159 helpful votes. Koyosan mid-Nov? Sep 15, 2024, 3:52 PM. We will be arriving in Osaka mid Nov. We may be able to squeeze in a couple of days and arrive earlier on Nov 15th. What will be weather and foliage conditions at Koyosan? The official website says by early November "the first frosts fall forebodingly".
6 天前 · We are planning 1 night in Aso and 2 nights in Kumamoto. We would like to visit Takachiho Gorge, do the boat ride and take the Amaterasu Rail. We are also planning to take the Mt Aso helicopter ride, go to Kunimigaoka, Kusasenrigahama prairie, Daikanbo lookout, and Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine.
5 天前 · We have no prior experience driving in Winter anywhere else. Our next best option will be to travel by train/buses but driving is preferred as it allows more flexibility and we have 2 seniors in our group. We are likely to need 2 cars taking into account our luggage.

Bit confused still after reading others' experiences/trying to figure out the ideal route, starting from HND and planning to go to these areas: - Aomori. - Sendai. - Yamagata. - Matsushima. - Miyagi. Should we just get the 7-day JR pass in this case? Or buy one of the JR East passes and pay for the additional days separately?
4 天前 · Touden Goya. We are planning to walk part of the Nakasendo trail between Magome and Nagiso. Has anybody walked the section between Tsumago and Nagiso and can tell me if it is well sign posted?
