Our Aims. We aim at building disaster resilience of Hong Kong through people-centred, all-hazards and multi-sectoral disaster risk reduction strategies based on informed understanding of disaster risks and solutions by:
14 June, 2019 Friday. A Summary: Is Hong Kong a Disaster Resilient City? A megacity facing high risks from natural hazards. Megacities can be seriously susceptible to various natural hazards potentially posing negative impacts on human health, economy and sustainability.
HKJCDPRI is based at the HKAM, and partners with CCOUC, HKU and Harvard. We focus on the need for competencies on knowledge, skills as well as attitude to reduce disaster loss and suffering. Join us in our training and exchange activities to build a community of practice in disaster preparedness and response.

Silence Limited（龍耳） 龍耳 (Silence Limited)火災防備及應對工作坊暨「特殊需要人士應急支援研討會」 視像警報裝置在香港並未普及，在火警發生時，聽障人士往往因聽不到火警鐘聲而未能及時逃生。 加上香港的防火教育少有按不同人士的特殊需要作出調適，因此聽障人士受火災影響的機會相對較高。 教研中心與「 龍耳 」合作，為聽障人士度身訂造一系列火災防備活動和體驗，增強他們的應變能力。 此外，我們舉辦了「特殊需要人士應急支援研討會」，並邀請其他業界代表及持份者，共同分享和交流殘疾人士（包括體格或心智上）在災難防備和應對過程中遇到的挑戰和機遇。 Tags: .
