My wife and I will be taking a 16 day trip in October and I'm starting to plan out our days in Tokyo (yeah, I'm a planner). We have 5 full days in Tokyo and are staying at the JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom in Shinjuku.

Take the JR Narita Express which is an airport express that goes to Shibuya directly from NRT. Here are step-by-step instructions to get to Shibuya Excel:

For 1 of the days is this doable in a day, first up Tsukiji Fish market, then Imperial Palace, stroll through some of the gardens only, then Tokyo sky tree, then Senso Ji, ending in Akihabara. We are staying near Amori station, travelling by public transport, thanks.

I’m beginning to plan a trip to Tokyo and am looking for advice on firstly the best area to stay and secondly some hotel recommendations within that area. I realise that’s a really difficult question but I’d really appreciate some advice.
