5 天前 · I wanted to get advice on whether I should stay for 2 nights in Tokyo initially and do a day trip to Hakone or go from Narita to Hakone and stay two nights there. I want to do the Hakone Loop and Mishima Skywalk while in Hakone. If I stay there for 2 nights will pick the 2N/3D Hakone Freepass from Odawara station.

6 天前 · Hello. Would appreciate any feedback or thoughts about our current plans. Late 50s Australian couple going to Japan for first time. I'm wondering if we're trying to do too much. Obviously we're going as 'tourists'; but both of us like getting to know the daily life of a place, not just the tourist activities.

We are two adults travelling with 2 kids under 8. We're looking for budget friendly accommodation with laundry facilities.

We have 18 days - from mid November to early December 2024. Here's our first draft: Day 1 - 3 : Fukuoka > train to Kagoshima. Sightseeing: Sengan-en and Shiroyama Park.

Unfortunately realised that most places are closed during this period : ( Looking for suggestions/advice please! 1) where to snow play / shed / slide (not ski) 2) will the public bus from Otaru to Cape Kamui be running? We dont drive.
