Oral. Anxiety, Depression. Adult: Available preparation: Flupentixol 0.5 mg and melitracen 10 mg tab. 1 tab bid (morning and noon). May increase morning dose to 2 tabs in severe cases. Max: 4 tabs daily. Elderly: 1 tab once daily (morning). May increase to 1 tab bid (morning and noon) in severe cases.
Indications and Dosage. Adult: For the treatment of acute attacks in patients with C1-esterase inhibitor deficiency: 30 mg as a single dose via SC inj over ≥30 seconds. Additional doses may be given at intervals of ≥6 hours if relief is insufficient or symptoms recur. Max: 3 doses (90 mg) daily.
Indications and Dosage. Parenteral. Iron-deficiency anaemia. Adult: Recommended dose: 100-200 mg 2-3 times weekly. If rapid Fe delivery is required, administer as a total dose infusion up to a total replacement dose equal to 20 mg/kg over 4-6 hours. Special Precautions. Patient with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, high BMI (>30), history of HRT, acute myocardial ischaemia, non-compensated cardiac insufficiency, severe angina pectoris, bone metastasis. Patient taking enzyme inducing drugs. Avoid concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors and coumarin anticoagulants.
Dosage/Direction for Use. Adult Duodenal ulcer 15 mg once daily for 4 wk. Maintenance of healed duodenal ulcer: 15 mg once daily. H. pylori eradication to reduce risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence Triple-therapy: 30 mg bd + amoxicillin 1 g bd + clarithromycin 500 mg bd for 10-14 days. Dual-therapy: 30 mg tds + amoxicillin 1 g tds for 14 days.
