I had a similar issue with devices connecting to 5 ghz and 5ghz-2 on my R9700 Triband Nighthawk but ended up correcting it. If your router has Smart Connect capability, I would enable it. It will boost signals by connecting you to the best available network automatically and manage your connections for you so one band doesn’t get bogged down with devices.

Change advanced settings. Open up the “Wireless Adapter Settings” then “Power Saving Mode” and make sure it doesn’t disconnect your wifi to save power by setting (at least AC). Switch it up to Maximum Performance which should stop it from disconnecting at random. Second fix: Go into your network settings.
