10 years ago. As OP2002 says you can only link bookings as a BA Gold card holder. Assuming neither of you is Gold, and your husband has no other BA status, he'll need to pay to reserve a seat now, or gamble there will be seats left nearby 24 hours out when you check in online. I've been looking for discounted Business Class fares for clients - and find that British Airways has a good program for their VISA card holders ($75 per year fee). Using the BA VISA card, 2-for-1 unrestricted tickets are available in First, Business, and World Traveler Plus.
Is it possible, on the BA website, to book two passengers from London to somewhere in Europe (could be Rome, could be Amsterdam, we haven't decided yet), but only one with hold luggage? I can't seem to find any way to do this : the hold luggage and hand baggage only fares are treated as alternatives.
