Jake Bidwell joined the Sky Blues in January 2022 on a three-and-a-half-year contract after three years with Swansea City. Bidwell was raised in Southport and joined Everton's academy when he was 11 years-old. He was a Goalkeeper in his first two seasons with the club, before switching to left-back, working his way up to the club's U18 team.
