1. Re: florida/carribean like vacation. The panhandle has the most beautiful beaches in Florida, and the Destin area would have most of what you want. The crowds in summer make it pretty congested, so there’s the only negative. If you can get a trip to Nassau for the same price, it would be hard to pass up.

Thought I'd provide feedback on my 3.5 weeks on the South Island, especially as a thank you to the Forum NZ advisors who gave me excellent feedback on my itinerary and it may be useful for others planning to go now.
