If you activate that pass on 1st May then it expires on 5th May period. >>we propose to go from Takayama to Daikanbo and RETURN and stay at night on 3rd, NOT a good idea for 2 reasons - Takayama is too far away to reach Tateyama station.

Btw, bear sightings increased last year; even around/near Nishiitoya hairy quadroped creatures were sighted, so said their homepage.
