While spokespeople and politicians are doing their best to give a face and voice to the LGBT+ community, now there’s a short film project that’s working at a grassroots level to openly reveal what it’s like to be a gay man in Japan, and it’s currently attracting a lot of attention online.
日本的社會傳統之一，便是當兒女到了適婚年齡，他們的父母 就會介紹朋友的子女互相認識然後再讓他們自由發展戀愛關係。 到現在，就由牽線的中間人（日語里叫「 世話人 」）去介紹有意結婚的單身男女互相認識，相親通常都是1對1，不會有第三者在場。 而不同於長輩介紹，中間人也可以是公司的同事或被介紹人共通的朋友。 2.「合婚」聚會. 比起傳統形式的相親，利用各種聚會與心儀的異性接觸，在日本的年輕人當中似乎更為流行。 在日本，專門為單身男女互相認識而設置的聚會叫「合コン」（合婚）。 這種「合コン」文化，實際上還和另一種文化「飲み会」（飲酒會）直接相關，因為單身男女聚會的主題之一便是坐在一起喝東西。 主辦人通常為1男1女，兩人各自邀請四到五位他們認識，且值得信賴的單身同性朋友出席。
