  1. 2 years ago. HK ATMs do not charge you for withdrawals. Your bank may charge you, and those charges may depend on which network you use in Hong Kong, your relationship with your bank, how much you withdraw, etc. Ask your bank for details.

BTW, I don't know about your credit card, but my credit card company considers cash withdrawal as "cash advance", meaning they charge interest as soon as I withdraw the cash. Their interest rate is pretty stratospheric.

  7. 14 years ago. Anytime you have a financial transactions there will be fee, some obvious some hidden. I think that using your ATM is still the wisest choice. Just do not withdraw small amounts. I deal with the Royal Bank of Canada and with my package I pay no fee when taking money from foreign ATMs.
