BTW, I don't know about your credit card, but my credit card company considers cash withdrawal as "cash advance", meaning they charge interest as soon as I withdraw the cash. Their interest rate is pretty stratospheric.

  6. 14 years ago. Anytime you have a financial transactions there will be fee, some obvious some hidden. I think that using your ATM is still the wisest choice. Just do not withdraw small amounts. I deal with the Royal Bank of Canada and with my package I pay no fee when taking money from foreign ATMs.
