2024年4月26日 · Those who don't know how to configure a phone, especially iPhone, shouldn't use a SIM card unless it's one sold by NTT Docomo *directly*. and not from a MVNO (such as B-Mobile, Sakura, So-net.....). Or simply use pocket wifi.
The docomo booth at the airport has an 8000¥ for 8 days unlimited data SIM card. There are cheaper options for 1GB or 3GB cards. The sales staff will help to place the SIM card for you.

Boughtt a DoCoMo 15 day card and for ¥5500, I had him install it in my iPhone and activated it immediately. Works great. I used the DoCoMo Sim on my trip here last year and had no problems then either.
