Initially, 25 mg every 2 weeks. For patients on fixed dose of oral risperidone treated with >4 mg daily for ≥2 weeks: Initially, 37.5 mg every 2 weeks. Doses may be increased in increments of 12.5 mg at intervals of at least 4 weeks. Max: 50 mg every 2 weeks. Continue oral supplementation for 3 weeks after the 1st inj.

Indications/Uses : Used in adrenocortical insufficiency, shock, hypersensitivity reactions like anaphylactic shock & angioedema, IBD, hemorrhoids, rheumatic disease, ophth & other conditions requiring immediate metabolic & anti-inflammatory actions of hydrocortisone.
Adult: Loading dose: 2-4 mg/kg via continuous infusion over 15-20 minutes, given before cancer therapy. Maintenance: 3-5 mg/kg via continuous infusion over 8-12 hours. Alternatively, initial dose of up to 2 mg/kg via intermittent infusion over at least 15 minutes, may be given before cancer therapy and repeated at 2-hourly intervals.
