You'll probably want to 'buy' one with pre-paid data etc. (it will probably be a free sim but with usage that you pay). You will be able to top up the sim as necessary. To get your sim you'll need id - passport or photo licence. The shop will photocopy it and the sim will be registered to you (the same arrangements apply in Spain).
