劉兆佳， GBS ， JP （英語： Lau Siu-kai ，1947年6月7日 — ）， 廣東 東莞 人，學者，現任 中國 全國政協 香港區 委員 、 全國港澳研究會 副會長、前 香港特區政府 中央政策組 首席顧問（2002年至2012年）。 背景 [ 編輯] 劉兆佳是 香港培英中學 （小學部，1959年小六 [2] ）和 聖保羅書院 校友（1966年中五、1968年中七，與 韓連山 及傅浩堅為同屆同學 [3] [4] ），畢業於 香港大學 ，主修社會學及經濟學，獲社會科學學士（一級榮譽）銜，1975年在美國 明尼蘇達大學 取得博士學位，回港後於 香港中文大學 任教，擔任社會學講師，1983年升為高級講師。 1987年擢升為教授，1990年晉身講座教授。
Lau Siu-kai. Lau Siukai ( Chinese: 劉兆佳) (born 1947), GBS, is a sociologist from Hong Kong. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong, and taught at the Department of Sociology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he is emeritus professor of sociology, after earning a PhD degree from the University of Minnesota.

Professor Lau Siu-kai was born in Hong Kong in 1947. He received his Bachelor of Social Science (First Class Honour) degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1971, majoring in sociology and economics. In 1975, he was awarded Ph.D. in sociology by the University of Minnesota, specializing in social development and political sociology.

Lau Siu Kai graduated from sixth form at St. Paul’s College in 1968. A sociologist, Lau taught sociology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), once heading the university’s sociology department. He retired in 2007 and was most known for his work as vice-president of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macau Studies.
