2024年4月29日 · 〔記者洪定宏／高雄報導〕1968年興建的高港候工室，原為早期港務局員工等候上工的臨時住所，後來改為員工宿舍，吹熄燈號後閒置多年，2021年開始活化，歷經3年整建，華麗轉身為水岸輕軌旅宿，將在明（30）日上午開幕營運。 高雄港區土地開發公司表示，這棟水岸輕軌旅宿取名「PAPO'A HARBOR HOTEL帕鉑候工所」，位於駁二藝術特區、鄰近輕軌駁二蓬萊站，由高雄在地設計旅店「帕鉑舍旅」承崗開發公司投資1.68億元，打造64間房，成為港灣新地標。 土開公司指出，1968年，原高雄港港務局自行設計興建「高港候工室」的三層樓「ㄇ」字型建築，原本是港務局員工等候上工的臨時住所，最多可同時容納200人住宿，後來改為員工宿舍，最終走入歷史。
