2021年7月19日 · 英國的國家醫療保健服務系統，National Health Service （NHS），為英國四大公營醫療系統（在英格蘭、北愛爾蘭、蘇格蘭、威爾斯）的總稱，支出主要由全國稅收，和國家保險所支持，向英國公民提供免費的看診服務（在公營機構診症只需付藥費），包括絕大部份的醫療服務，如預防保健、急診、生育、疾病護理等，有如香港完善的醫療保險，低收入者、未成年人、長者等更有可能免除所有費用。 英國看病以預約制度實行，需先透過上網登記、電話或現場預約全科醫生（General practioner - 簡稱GP），要等候大約一至兩個星期。 再由他們轉介至相關的專科，才能正式診症治病。 到NHS醫院看病時，也需醫院審核和檢查相關文件，才能知道該次診症是否符合NHS的免費資格。 （圖片：TheGRCHub）
