東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会組織委員会は1月23日、Tokyo 2020における日本代表選手団公式服装およびテクニカルオフィシャルユニフォームの発表会を開催。 競泳の瀬戸大也やパラ・トライアスロンの土田和歌子ら6人のアスリートが開会式用公式服装を纏い、登壇した。 開会式や式典などで着用する日本代表選手団公式服装は、株式会社AOKIが作成（シューズは株式会社アシックスが担当）。 コンセプトは「ニッポンを纏う」で、「東京2020大会の価値の発信」「歴史と伝統の継承」「国民との一体感」を表現している。 またオリンピックとパラリンピックの「共生」をテーマに、統一デザインを採用。 同一デザインとなるのは、Tokyo 2020が初めてとなる。
