教育局今日（三月二十七日）呼籲市民提高警覺，提防一則訛稱由學校人員發出的偽冒WhatsApp短訊。有關短訊要求家長轉帳學費以報讀「資優教育基金：校外進階學習課程」。教育局已就事件向警方報案。
本港騙案數字近年錄得顯著上升，為進一步加強打擊騙案的工作，警方聯同通訊事務管理局辦公室（通訊辦）以及流動網絡營辦商於二 二二年九月成立專責工作小組，協調制定打撃電話及網上騙案的電訊措施，以及加強在防騙宣傳教育方面的合作，務求將防騙信息更全面傳遞至所有市民。
