Given that Dysons are made in Malaysia I thought it might be cheaper to buy one during my upcoming visit to KL rather than here in Australia. I have tried searching to find a Malaysian price on any websites and cant find any information.

If it fits within the maximum hold baggage dimensions (as there are so many different models of Dyson vacuum cleaner it is impossible to say whether it will or not without more information) for the airline you'll be flying with, you can take it. There's no rule to say you can't bring one.

I know most hotels have an dryer but prob not a flat iron, is it fairly easy to purchase a flat iron there?? Or does anyone have the name of an adapter they have used to travel in japan that worked well?
